Base Camp - QAHC LGBT Resource Centre

Base Camp is an initiative of the Queensland Association for Healthy Communities (QAHC).
Base Camp is a resource centre for the LGBT community of North Queensland.
Located in Cairns the centre's geographical reach covers an area from Mackay to the Torres Strait Islands and west to Mt Isa.
Base Camp has information and resources in relation to:

• HIV, AIDS and STIs;
• Access to condoms
• LGBT information relevant to other health and well being issues.
• Base Camp is able to provid a venue for community groups such as the 'OUTloud' gay and lesbian choir and  yoga classes.

 
The centre also accomodates the offices of the Health Promotion Officers for the Gay/MSM project and the Indigenous 2 Spirits project.
